Computer Laboratory Programme

The Girls’ Friendly Society conducts the Computer Laboratory Programme as part of its commitment to supporting children’s education. This programme is carried out at the Hambantota and Agarapathana branches, giving children the opportunity to learn how to use computers in a practical and meaningful way.

Through regular training sessions, school-going children are introduced to computers and guided in using them for their schoolwork and everyday learning. The programme helps children become more comfortable and confident in using computers within a supportive learning environment.

At the Agarapathana branch, a short course on basic computer skills was conducted for 12 school children, and certificates were awarded on 23rd November 2025.
The Computer Laboratory Programme reflects the Girls’ Friendly Society’s continued effort to support children’s learning and development through educational activities.
