Orange Day Awareness Programme

The Girls’ Friendly Society conducts the Orange Day Awareness Programme to raise awareness on the importance of protecting women and children and promoting safe and respectful communities. 25th November is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, and Orange Day is observed to commemorate this important occasion. This programme is carried out in several areas and brings together women, children, and community members for learning, sharing, and fellowship.

The programme includes awareness sessions, prayer, discussions, and simple activities that help participants understand the message of Orange Day in a practical and meaningful way. Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts, ask questions, and reflect on how they can support and care for one another within their families and communities.

Creative and hands-on activities are also included, allowing participants to engage actively while strengthening unity and cooperation. Both adults and children take part with enthusiasm, making the programme meaningful for everyone involved. The Orange Day Awareness Programme continues to be a valuable initiative of the Girls’ Friendly Society, helping to build awareness and strengthen relationships that support the well-being of women and children.
