To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Girls’ Friendly Society (GFS) hosted a two-day Women’s Footwear Training Programme at their Hambantota Regional Office.   Led by NAITA Chief Instructor Mrs W. M. D. Geetha Kumari, 22 participants gained hands-on experience in footwear design and production.

By providing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, this initiative supports the GFS goal of female empowerment – equipping women with the tools to build sustainable livelihoods and foster self-reliance.
